NTA NEET 2019 Registration: National Testing Agency is conducting MBBS/ BDS admission test for admission in the academic year 2019. This is now clear that NEET will be held one time a year as it was conducted by CBSE. The Health Minister J.P Nadda has asked MHRD National Testing Agency to conduct NEET exam once a year. Now, the new exam dates are released, NEET-UG will be held on 5 May 2019 (SUNDAY) and it will be Pen-Paper based test. The online application are available from 1 November 2018. You can download NTA notification for latest updates. The student can visit official website www.nta.ac.in or (www.ntaneet.nic.in) to fill NEET 2019 form.

MHRD has established a National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct a National Level Entrance Test i.e. JEE (Main), NEET 2019, UGC NET, CMAT, and GPAT. The other entrance exam shall be added in the coming years.

As per the Indian Medical Council Act – 1956 and the Dentists Act – 1948, online applications are invited for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) – 2019 [ NEET (UG) – 2019 ] to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses in India in Medical / Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER, Puducherry.

Admissions to all seats of MBBS / BDS courses will be done through NEET (UG) – 2019

PATTERN OF TEST: The NEET (UG) – 2019 shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). This will be a single exam in pen-and- paper mode. The duration of paper would be 03 hours. The schedule of various events is as follows

10 August 2018: The notification of NEET Feb 2019 exam is not yet released. We are going to update the news of NEET registration from 1 November 2018 as soon as notice is available.

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar in the press conference held in New Delhi on 7 July 2018 (Saturday) said that National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to take UGC-NET, NEET-UG and JEE Main entrance examination for coming session.

Students can appear for JEE and NEET twice a year and the best score will be considered for admission. NEET 2019 will be held in FEB and MAY 2019 (ONE TIME) on 5 May 2019 whereas JEE Main will be held in Jan and April 2019. JEE Advanced will be organized by IIT’s.

The Syllabus and Exam pattern will be same as of previous year exams.

NEET 2019: NTA NEET-UG Important Date

NEET 2019: NTA new rules introduced

The National Eligibility Entrance Test is held for admission in UG Medical/ Dental/ AYUSH courses in India. CBSE has been replaced by NTA as an official authority to conduct NEET (UG). With the introduction of National Testing Agency,/ Authority here are few major changes and new rules.

  1. Official website for NEET 2019 is changed to www.nta.ac.in
  2. The exam organizing authority is MHRD National Testing Agency (NTA).
  3. Biology as an additional subject candidate are allowed in NEET 2019
  4. The exam will be held once a year.
  5. There will be no Computer-based test (CBT). The exam mode is Pen & Paper based test.
  6. Syllabus & Exam Pattern will be same as of CBSE NEET 2018

Ministry of Human Resouces Development (MHRD) National Testing Agency (NTA) may organize NEET-UG 2019 Medical/ Dental entrance test for the academic year 2019 admission. Hon’ble Supreme Court has asked Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government that there must be only SINGLE Eligibility Entrance Exam for admission in MBBS/ BDS course through-out India apart from AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

The student may be preparing for NEET-2019 in top coaching institutes (Kota, New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Mumbai, Kolkata) etc. But you must be aware of minimum eligibility (age limit, education qualification & reservation) before joining NEET Coaching Centers.

NEET 2019 Score is used for admission in:

  1. BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
  2. MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery)

To get admission in MBBS/ BDS course, the candidate must score minimum eligibility (cut-off) marks so that you can apply 15% All India Counselling or 85% State counselling.

NEET UG 2019

First of all, the student has to visit the official website www.cbseneet.nic.in/ NTA NEET 2019 and download information bulletin cum brochure for NEET-UG 2019. Read it NEET-UG 2019 brochure.pdf carefully so that your form is not rejected.

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) notification is available in 3rd week of December. The applicant has to register online application of NEET 2019 available @cbseneet.nic.in official website NEET. Based on the score obtained in NEET-UG, you can appear in the following counselling.

  1. All India Quota Seats: 15% MBBS/ BDS seats are reserved for every state participating in the AIQ.
  2. State Government Quota Seats

NEET Application Form 2019

MHRD National Testing Agency or CBSE is organizing NEET-UG 2019 for MBBS/ BDS course admission. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) application process is ONLINE, so you have to visit www.cbseneet.nic.in and fill the registration form. In the NEET application form you have to provide basic details i.e. email-id, mobile number, communication address, education details, upload photo & signature, pay fee etc. Below is the step-wise procedure to fill NEET 2019 application form.

Online registration of NEET is similar to any other Job or Exam entrance test form. In the NEET-UG 2019 registration, you have shall be asked to present details regarding personal/ education/ eligibility etc. Follow the steps given below.

Visit official website: www.nta.ac.in or NTA NEET 2019 portal (www.ntaneet.nic.in).
Fill the registration form: (Your Name as per Aadhaar or other ID, mother’s name, father’s name, category, DOB, select your identification type, enter your valid email-id and working mobile number for OTP verification.

 

Step 3: In the next step you have to “Create Login Password”, Create security question and answer. OTP Reference number and enter OTP sent on your mobile number.

Step4: Registration number is generated after the Step-2, note it down/ save it in email id or mobile for future use.

 

Step 5: Upload images of photograph and signature in JPEG format. (Kindly check the minimum and maximum allowed size).
Step 6: You have to pay the application fee online (Debit/ Credit/ Internet Banking etc.)
Step 7: Take print out of Confirmation page(s).

Minimum Eligibility for NEET 2019

Nationality Eligibility

Indian National: All the Indian National are eligible to appear for NEET-UG 2019 but check other eligibility criteria ie. age limit, education qualification, marks required.

NRI, Foreign Students: From NEET-UG 2017, the student from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET UG Entrance Test.

Qualification

The candidate must have passed Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination such that the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English OR

A candidate who is appearing in the 12th Standard in 2019 can apply NEET 2019 but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round
of Counselling OR

The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology (which shall include the practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject.

Percentage Criteria: Students must have secured minimum 50% marks in PCB group for general candidates and 45% (for general PH) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC categories)

NEET 2019 Exam Pattern

The scheme of National Eligibility Entrance Test MBBS & BDS Entrance Exam comprises of the total number of question, mode of question paper, the language of question paper, marking scheme, question paper sets, computer-based test or offline pen & paper based NEET 2019 exam.

Reservation of Seats

Candidate must check reservation of MBBS/ BDS seats before the counselling process begins. As per the information bulletin, 15% AIQ seat reservation is as per the DGHS (Medical Council Committee) Central Govt. Reservation law. For the remaining 85% reservation of seats in Medical/Dental colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in States/Union Territories.

For 15% AIQ Seat Reservation

(i) For OBC Candidate: 27% Seats are reserved.
(ii) SC Candidate: 15% seats are reserved
(iii) ST Candidates:  7.5% seats are reserved.
(iv) Differently abled candidates as per MCI guidelines are: 3% Horizontal

For 85% State Quota Counselling Reservation

For state MBBS/ BDS admission, the candidate must check regional/ state reservation rules. After the declaration of NEET UG 2019 results. Download prospectus/ information bulletin available at your STATE Medical Council website.

Requirement of ID Cards

Candidate with correct spellings, Aadhaar Number/ Aadhaar Enrolment Number/Registration Number Issued by CBSE Facilitation Number/ Passport number/Ration Card Number/bank Account Number/ Other valid Govt. Identity card Number, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number, E-mail ID, etc. may be kept ready.

Aadhaar Card/ Passport

At the time of registration (NEET-UG 2019) application form. The candidate must check UIDAI Aadhaar Card for details i.e. Name, Father’s Name, Sex, DOB etc. As per the notification, Aadhaar card is mandatory and your registration details must match with Aadhaar Card.

Fill NEET 2019 Application Form

The candidate has to apply an online application of CBSE/ NTA National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) at official website www.cbseneet.nic.in from Nov 2018. First of all, download infthe ormation brochure and read it carefully. Check the minimum eligibility criteria (age limit, number of attempts, qualification etc.).

The application form fee is given below:

  1. Rs 1400/- INR for Unreserved (UR) and Other-backward category (OBC)
  2. Rs 750/- INR for SC/ ST and PH candidates

Login at CBSENEET.nic.in with Registration Number and DOB or password and Upload digital photo and signature.

NEET Admit Card 2019

The Call Letter of CBSE/ NTA NEET 2019 are available 20 days before the exam. To download admit card of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) you have to visit the official portal of National Testing Agency or CBSE.

(a) Visit Central Board of Secondary Education (NEET 2019 Official website)
(b) Log-in to your NEET account with registration number and password.
(c) Now, click on “Download Admit Car”
(D) Check all the details on the permission letter.

Note: You must check all the details i.e. Name, Father’s Name, Photo, Signature. If you find any wrong details on the admit card, please contact to the CBSE NEET Office ASAP for correction.

NEET 2019 Result

After appearing in the MBBS/ BDS Entrance Test 2019 you might be searching for NEET-UG 2019 results. In the notification, the result of exam shall be declared within one month. The student can check their All India Rank as well as percentile & subject wise marks. To download the NEET 2019 scorecard you can visit cbseneet.nic.in or NTA website. The online result is available at cbseresults.nic.in and you have to provide Registration/ Roll-Number and Password or DOB.

Now, click “Results” and enter your registration number and password
Download the Score-card online.

Note: For the State NEET Rank/ Merit list you can check your STATE Medical AUthority website and download PDF containing student roll number with percentile and rank. Probability the State Medical Council Committee takes 7-10 days to invite online counselling application form after the declaration of NEET-UG 2019 results.

NEET Cut-Off 2019

Simply appearing in the National Eligibility Entrance Exam doesn’t confirm your admission. In order to be eligible for the admission in MBBS/ BDS course, the candidate must obtain minimum qualifying percentage/ marks in the NEET-UG 2019.

Qualifying Percentile:

The percentile shall be determined as NORMALIZATION based on AIR-1 highest marks secured in the All India common merit list in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.

SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-Creamy layer) Category: 40 Percentile
UR-Physical Handicapped: 45 Percentile
SC-PH, ST-PH & OBC-PH candidates: 40 percentile

Qualifying Marks:

UR Category (General) Candidate: 50% Marks
SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-Creamy layer) Category: 40% Marks
UR-Physical Handicapped: 45% Marks
SC-PH, ST-PH & OBC-PH candidates: 40% Marks

(a) Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test.
(b) Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the Test.
(c) Candidates with less number of attempted wrong answers in all the subjects in the Test.
(d) Candidates older in age to be preferred.

NEET 2019 Counselling

After the results, qualified student (Above cut-off marks) has to fill-up online counselling registration form. The candidate has to be very alert and check the schedule of NEET 2019 counselling (AFMC Pune, 15% All India Quota, Deemed University, 85% State Quota Counselling).

The Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare conduct MBBS/ BDS admission counselling under the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) to hold Online Counseling for 15% All India Quota undergraduate MBBS/BDS seats.

(a) All India Quota Counselling (15% AIQ)
(b) AFMC Pune Medical Counselling
(c) Deemed/ Central University MBBS/ BDS counselling
(d) ESI Medical Counseling for IP wards only – 332 MBBS Seats and 22 BDS seats are reserved for ‘Wards of Insured persons’ under ESI Scheme.
(e) State Counselling (85% Quota) as per the State Medical Council Authority.

Conclusion

National Eligibility Entrance Test is CEE for admission in MBBS/ BDS course in India. Every year CBSE conduct NEET-UG entrance test for the UG Medical and Dental course admission. In recent, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has setup NTA (National Testing Agency) to remove the burden of Entrance Exam from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

NEET 2019 is going to be held in May 2019 if it is organized by CBSE otherwise NEET exam shall be held twice a year and is conducted by National Testing Agency.
