Videos by IIT Professor to help JEE Main, NEET 2019 Preparation

National Testing Agency has uploaded videos on Youtube Channel to help JEE Main, NEET-UG 2019.  The subject experts and professor from IIT’s has prepared Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. The National Testing Agency has invited online JEE Main registration from 1 Sept 2018 onwards. Aspirants for NEET (UG) 2019 can fill online application from 1 Nov 2018.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has also asked NTA to establish a network of Mock Test (Test Practice Centers) to help students to practice online Mock Test for JEE Main, NEET, CMAT, GPAT, and UGC-NET. Till now, total 3044 Test Practice Centers has been established.

The Government of India has approved ‘SWAYAM Prabha’-a project for operationalising 32 Direct to Home (DTH) Television Channels for providing high quality educational content to all teachers, students and citizens across the country interested in lifelong learning.

In response to this, The NTA has uploaded IIT Professor Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology videos for JEE Main and NEET 2019 entrance exam.

There will be new content of four hours every day, which would be telecast six times a day allowing the student to choose the time of his/her convenience.

The main features of SWAYAM Prabha are

  • Curriculum based course contents covering diverse disciplines such as arts, science, commerce, performing arts, social sciences and humanities subjects, engineering, technology, law, medicine, agriculture etc.
  • Covers all level of education: School education, undergraduate, postgraduate, engineering, out of school children, vocational courses and teacher training.

The 32 channels are proposed to be launched before September 2016. Initially the programmes will be in English but with the passage of time the programmes will be launched in regional languages also.

Channel 21: IIT PAL: Mathematics
welcome to the Channel 21 of IIT PAL. This channel is dedicated to teaching and learning of Mathematics for class 11 and 12 standard students. As you all know IIT PAL is a wonderful initiative of MHRD, Ministry of Human Resource Development, to teach basic sciences to the students who aspire to be engineers and/or scientists in future.
In this channel, we have considered all the topics of Mathematics within the syllabus of CBSE and JEE examinations. Depending upon the depth of the syllabus sufficient number of lectures have been prepared for each topic. The lectures have been delivered by professors of different IITs, namely IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Patna and also by some teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya who actually deal with students of class 11 and 12 on daily basis, and know their pulses well.
The overall plan is to record around 210 lectures covering all the topics within the purview of “mathematics” for class 11 and 12. Also, some lectures are there that are not directly relevant to the prescribed syllabus but will work as stimulants for students who have more interest in mathematics as a subject. These lectures will allow them to think in a deeper way, which in turn will pave the way for the students to pursue in future science and engineering of different disciplines, be it Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Civil, Mechanical. Nobody can excel in these subjects without having a good grasp of Mathematics. Moreover, advanced science courses, such as Physics, Statistics, need a significant command over Mathematics. IIT PAL Mathematics lectures are expected to build that command in understanding and problem solving using mathematics. I hope that the lectures presented in the IIT PAL mathematics series will help students to build the necessary foundation that would enable them to pursue higher studies in Sciences and Technology, in different institutes of repute of the country.
I am happy that I have been entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating the overwhelmingly ambitious project. It needed a huge effort from the coordinators and teachers over years to prepare these lectures. If students find lectures beneficial and useful that will be the greatest success of the huge effort. I thank Director of IIT Delhi and the National Coordinator for being the pillar of strength behind this project.
